Remembrance Day Parade – Volunteers needed!
Due to operational changes within the Royal British Legion, the Town Council have been asked to arrange the official Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday 11th November 2018. This is being done in partnership with the Ollerton RBL Branch.
It is hoped that the parade will revert back to the original route, starting on Sherwood Drive, but this is dependent on local volunteers coming forward to act as stewards/marshals at road junctions.
As this is a very important year due to the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War One, the Town Council and RBL are hoping that the public will give this their full support.
If you wish to volunteer you must be over 18 years of age and be available from 9.30am to 11am on Sunday 11th November. Volunteers should also be available to attend a short briefing session in the week leading up to the parade. (An early evening and daytime session will be arranged).
